Hours

Drop-off 7:00am to 9:00am, pick-up 3:00pm to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Group size

Deliberately small. Groups are split by size, age and play style so supervision is real, not nominal.

The typical day

A rhythm, not a free-for-all.

Constant high-energy play is not good for dogs. The day is deliberately paced so they come home settled rather than over-stimulated.

7:00 - 9:00am

Arrival

Drop-off in Southport. A calm hello, a sniff around, and an introduction to whoever is already here.

9:30am

Morning play

The pack splits into small groups matched on size and play style. This is the loud part of the day.

11:00am

Adventure time

Beach or park, weather permitting. Lead work on the way, recall practice while we are there.

1:00pm

Rest and recharge

Shade, water and a proper nap. A tired dog who never rests goes home wired, not happy.

2:30pm

Afternoon fun

Enrichment games, puzzle feeders and a second, gentler play session.

3:00 - 5:30pm

Home time

Pick-up in Southport, with an honest rundown of how their day went. One happy, tired pup.

Daycare

Drop off in Southport between 7:00am and 9:00am and pick up between 3:00pm and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. The day runs on a rhythm of play, adventure, rest and enrichment. Days are $65 and a trial day is required first.

Deliberately few. Groups are kept small and split by size, age and play style so every dog is genuinely supervised rather than counted. Spots are limited, which is why booking ahead matters.

Getting started

Your dog spends three supervised hours with a small, carefully matched group. We introduce them slowly, watch how they settle, play and rest, and send you an honest write-up afterwards. It costs $30 and every dog does one before starting regular daycare.

Yes. All dogs need to be up to date with their C5 vaccination, which covers kennel cough. Please send us a copy of the certificate before the trial day. We also ask that flea and worm treatments are current.

No. Desexing isn't required to join The Barkyard Club. We just ask that you let us know beforehand if your dog isn't desexed, so our team has a heads-up and can group and supervise them in the way that gives everyone the best possible day. Females in season cannot attend.

Their lead and collar with an ID tag, their own food if they are staying overnight, and any medication with written instructions. Beds, bowls, water and treats are all provided. Please leave favourite toys at home so there is nothing to guard.
