Add a little more adventure to their week. We live on the Gold Coast, so the beach is not a bonus, it is the point. On Tuesdays we take small groups out for salt air, new smells and proper exercise, with the same close supervision as a day at the Club. One rate, adventure included.

Where we go

Beach mornings and park afternoons.

Destinations change with the tide, the weather and who is in the group that day. Every outing is chosen for safety first and fun a very close second.

Off-lead where it is safe and legal, on-lead where it is not. Salt water, wet sand and a very satisfying nap afterwards.

Park adventures

Shade, grass and space to move. Good for dogs who find the beach overwhelming, and for hot Queensland afternoons.

Games and recall

Fetch, scent games and recall practice built into every outing, so the adventure teaches something as well as tiring them out.

How we keep it safe

Freedom, with a very short leash on risk.

Taking a group of dogs into a public space only works if nothing is left to chance.

Small groups only, matched on recall and temperament
Off-lead time is earned, not assumed, and starts on a long line
Fresh water and shade breaks throughout the outing
Heat and tide checked before every beach trip
Secure transport, harnessed and restrained
Photos from the outing sent through the same day

If the weather turns, the day becomes an enrichment day at the Club instead. You are never charged for a trip that did not happen.

Booking an adventure

How it works.

Trial first

Adventures are for dogs we already know. A $30 trial day tells us how they handle a group before we take that group out in public.

Book a Tuesday

Adventures run on Tuesdays at $75 for the day, inclusive of the adventure. Message or call to add your dog to the next one.

Drop off as usual

Same Southport drop-off window. The adventure happens during their Tuesday and they come home with sand in places you will find for a week.

Adventures

Adventures run on Tuesdays and cost $75 for the day, inclusive of the adventure itself — there is no separate outing charge. Small, closely supervised groups head out for a beach or park outing, weather permitting, with recall practice built in. If the weather turns it becomes an enrichment day at the Club instead, at the same rate.

Care and safety

We separate calmly and early, long before anything escalates. Groups are matched on size and play style for exactly this reason. If your dog is consistently uncomfortable in a group, we will tell you honestly and talk about whether one-on-one care suits them better.

Tell us everything on the booking form and we will be honest with you about whether we can help. Some nervous dogs thrive here with a slow introduction. Some dogs are genuinely happier with one-on-one care, and we would rather say so than take your money.

We can administer medication during daycare and boarding. Send it in its original packaging with written instructions and dosage times, and note it on the booking form so we have it on file.

Yes. Premium treats are provided through the day as part of their Barkyard experience, at no extra cost — because good dogs deserve good snacks. Treats are given in sensible amounts alongside their normal routine, and we always work to the dietary requirements, allergies and feeding instructions you give us at booking. If you would rather we gave your dog nothing at all, or only what you send in, just tell us and we will.
